About Jarmans of Dunton
The Jarman family name has been associated with the village of Dunton, Bedfordshire for around 200 years when three families settled there; coming from nearby Guilden Morden in Cambridgeshire. It remains my quest to prove these were all related but after several years of trying I haven't been able to connect them except by marriages. Just 3 Jarmans were related to all others

Over the centuries the Jarmans have migrated west and their most likely origin is from the Jermyn families from the area of Norfolk and Suffolk around Bury St Edmunds.

During the latter part of the 19th century many migrated away being drawn to larger cities such as London, Nottingham and to Keighley in West Yorkshire. Some left the U K and their descendants can be found in "British" colonies abroad; Australia, Canada, USA, etc.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
